Yesterday we had a b i g moment in our household.
A b i g memory was created and I can’t believe my babies are old enough to do something so mature….
Yes. They got their first haircut.
It’s a huge deal! I didn’t want it to happen.
Heath had the MOST beautiful waves and curls I had ever seen…
Especially after a bath, I loved how his little ringlets would spring into place. It was just perfect.
He was, however, looking like a younger, way cuter version of Donald Trump with the comb over up top and the longer portion in the back. When I realized this, I started to think that perhaps it was time to make an appointment.
We went to a barbershop in town and it was the best possible experience we could have EVER asked for!
The barber was patient, kind, and SO sweet to our little precious babes.
Nash’s hair wasn’t nearly as long as Heath’s and he probably didn’t really need a haircut yet, but I couldn’t let Heath experience his first haircut without his best buddy experiencing it also. (Twin mama’s, do you do things like that too?!)
Heath went first…
He was unsure about the entire thing, but he sat there like a champ.
Some parts were a little scary, like when the barber used the buzzer…
The finished product…
Next up was lil’ Nashers and he did NOT want to sit in the seat like a champ like Heath. I had to hold him with his cheek next to mine almost the entire time(which I loved)…
Thankfully Nash didn’t need too much trimmed off his hair, because this was how the last part of his cut went…
And then Brian got his hair cut, so the boys played in the barbershop while we waited for daddy.
Don’t they look like SUCH big boys now?! I’m totally into their gelled combed over hair. It makes me want to kiss their cheeks and ears 129739803 more times than usual.
Then we went home and played in the leaves because these preshies earned it! We didn’t last long because man was it chilly!!
I’ll definitely remember their first haircut forever.
These two make everything so memorable. Now I’m off to put those precious locks in their baby books.
