Three day weekends seriously rock. Why aren’t they always thee days? No, that’s a serious question…
I have a few hobbies around here and taking photos is one of them. I’m not the best, but I find it so much fun to capture each child’s personality. I captured sweet Emery’s newfound squeals. They are the cutest! In the morning on Saturday, I set her up with some lemons and the boys played along. They loved showing her the lemons, and Heath remembered our lemon tasting last week, so we also ended up with bites out of several of them! Ha! & Ew…
We (read Brian) also mulched the plant beds and we (read me) chased babies around.
Brian also made some flower beds for me around the shed.
The boys loved the loader that Brian used…
Baby girl doesn’t sleep much sleep around here because it’s pretty loud during the day. She was talking and moving all about in her bouncer and then suddenly, she fell asleep. There’s something extra sweet about a sleeping babe.
On top of all the mulching, creating new plant beds, and planting flowers,
we also had some precious family time.
These boys love, love, love their Papa and Uncle Luke.
Emery and I were able to spend some one-on-one time Monday morning and we planted flowers at Elle’s grave. I shared a little about it on Instagram here. I never thought I would be taking care of the gravesite of my child, but here I am doing it and it is one of the biggest honors of my life.
We are always looking for ways to honor her,
and this is just another small way we can keep her memory alive.
Emery and I got up early to beat the day’s heat, stopped and got some coffee, and then we were off to spend some time with our other favorite girl.
We also spent some time at my brother’s and SIL’s new home.
Brian has been helping do some of the work, so the babes and I tagged along.
The boys LOVED exploring Uncle Luke’s and Aunt Jess’s new home…
And then more fun family time at Brian’s parents house on Monday night. Nana got this cute little car and the boys loved playing with Grandpa! So sweet to see their precious smiles.
Their joy and laughter is contagious.
I’m over here looking forward to the next three day weekend, so we can soak up even more uninterrupted family time. Love this sweet fam of mine.
