Summer lovin’ is in full swing over here. So far, we have a few things checked off of our Summer Bucket List, and today we checked off visiting The Blueberry Patch. I’ve gone in years past before we had children, but today was my second year with the boys. Last year, before they were mobile and super ornery, I plopped them between the blueberry bushes and picked away. After I filled the bucket, the boys worked together to dump the entire contents on the grass!! Thankfully this year we didn’t dump any buckets full of blueberries.
Nash enjoyed picking and eating the blueberries for approximately sixty seconds.
Heath loved not only picking the blueberries, but also putting them in his basket. And then eating them until his basket was empty. I don’t call him my free-spirit for nothing. This boy loves an adventure, especially when it involves being outdoors, too.
He is so laid back and will totally go along with anything I ask him to do. Love this little guy.
Of course our sweet granny tagged along. Love you, mom! 😉
Someday I’m going to dedicate an entire post to my precious mom. She is the most incredible person.
(Also, I’m pretty sure you are the only person besides Brian that consistently reads our blog. xoxo)
And my little blueberry-eyed girl loved our stop.
She pretty much goes along with anything at this point.
Her wrinkled-nose smile is my favorite!
In addition to filling a bucket of ripe blueberries (and leaves and branches and non-ripe “green berries”), I picked up some blueberry donuts for breakfast. Blueberry donuts are my favorite kind, and I’m pretty sure the boys would agree, too.
So, another successful trip is in the books. We may visit again because it’s such a simple activity that the boys can easily do! What kind of activities should we add to our Summer Bucket List?!
